Google has updated their chat feature in iGoogle and Orkut service. Now Google allows users to transfer files through iGoogle, and Orkut services.
The new functions in this service can facilitate users to share pictures, documents and other files without having to switching to email services, to send file through attachments.
"File transfers will be working directly from the browser so user does not need to install anything. User just has to start the conversation with the other and then click 'send file'. After selecting a file, a friend who will receive the file will be requested permission to receive the file first.
This new feature is believed by Google will make easier for users to chat at home or at work and sending files quickly and easily, without email inbox limitation.
The same file transfer services will be applied into Gmail as soon as possible. This feature is almost similar to Yahoo Messenger service.
