A study from the University of Kansas through interviews with 5020 men and women reveals shocking fact about internet dating or online dating. The study reveals that most users online dating services do not lie when they build relationship with other.

But on the other hand, most of online dating users prefer to express common things to indicate personal excellence.

“Most people want to be liked, both online or offline” Professor Jeffrey Hall said.

The study which is published in Social and Personal Relationships Journal use 10 point scale to indicate "not much" to "really like"

According to Hall, the conclusions of the study is concerns about lie which is not about sex or gender from online dating service users, but on how they reflect themselves to others perfectly.

Research conducted with Professor Namkee Park from Oklahoma University, Hayeon Song from Wisconsin University and Michael Cody from Southern California University.
