Intel Corporation recently launched new high-performance solid state drive (SSD) in affordable price. Intel X25-V SSD, these Intel SSD newer products is only valued at $ 125. Intel X25-V SSD which is having 40 gigabyte (GB) capacity is targeted for netbook and desktop segment with dual drive or boot drives.
Intel X25-V SSD can replace or work side by side with traditional hard disk drive (HDD). This device also has parts that are not moving or rotating disk, so it has higher performance than the HDD. Users were promised to be more productive because of Intel X25-V SSD faster system reaction ability.
According to Intel Corporation, through a press release, consumers can enjoy the advantages of Intel X25-V SSD by adding the SSD option on their desktop with a dual drive arrangement, or "boot drive".
In dual drive configuration, the Intel SSD X25-V added to the desktop with existing HDD. SSD is then loaded into the operating system of your favorite applications to take advantage of Intel X25-V Value SATA SSD performance which is almost four times faster than 7200RPM HDD.
Users can also maintain the existing HDD as data storage devices with higher capacity. This capability is commonly referred to as "boot" drive because SSD can accelerate boot time and start-up.
For example, with a capacity of 40 GB boot drive, users can load the SSD with Microsoft operating system Windows 7, Microsoft Office applications and favorite games applications like Dragon Age: Origins and produce 43 percent faster system performance, or increase gaming experience up to 86 percent. SSD can also speed up start-up system, open applications and files or speed up start up from standby position.
Intel X25-V 40GB product line complements Intel X25-M Mainstream SATA SSDs which is offer 80GB and 160GB capacities. All Intel SSD designed and manufactured using Intel NAND flash memory from IM Flash Technologies (IMFT).
